The Big Mamma Group: Trendy, Fresh, Authentic Italian Dining in Paris

The Big Mamma Group was started by Tigrane and Victor, two Frenchmen with a love for Italian food. They opened their first restaurant – Mamma Gorda – in the south of France but quickly aspired to break into the Parisian dining scene. While Italian restaurants are a-plenty in Paris, the Big Mamma Group brought something different to the table: a 100% Italian trattoria, with fresh products brought in from Italy, and a 100% Italian staff’. They even rented 20 apartments to house their staff!

The Closing of Colette: A Paris Fashion Institution

Colette, which has been described by Forbes as The Trendiest Store In The World’, is a Paris institution. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield famously declared that its the only shop he visits because they have things no one else has. But Colette is not only for the rich and famous; tourists, locals, young and old, trendy and not-so-trendy, everyone can find something that amuses or inspires at Colette.

Café Oberkampf’s petit frère: Café Méricourt

Café Méricourt, Café Oberkampf’s petit frère cafe, has opened just around the corner from the local favourite’s first location.

Café Méricourt is intimate yet light, fitted out with classic blonde timber, green accented window frames, lovely straw lampshades, and gold painted columns for a touch of bling.

When I visited, I sat solo at the bar where the super friendly staff chatted with me as I waited for my meal.
